Baby Girl

This photo uses several techniques we've learned this year. The ice cream introduces a prop into the photo, making it more interesting. I also had to try many different angles and poses to make sure I got the best shot possible. The subject fills the frame in the photo. One of the suggested portrait techniques was to break a few photography rules--this photo breaks the rule of thirds.

The most important thing I've learned as a photographer this year is that taking good pictures is more than just clicking a button. So much more work goes into a good photo, and that makes it much more interesting for both the photographer and the viewer. I've learned how to plan and set up photos, and how to make sure they're interesting to look at.

Culture Clash Reflection

I think that mixing two photos together really represents how people at ISB live. We have aspects of our 'home' countries and China, all together. This culture clash assignment taught me a lot about how to use photoshop effectively. I really enjoyed figuring out how to fit pieces of photographs together like a puzzle. In addition, I learned a lot about life in Yarmouth through their photos. This project helped me to see the differences and similarities between our worlds.
